On Saturday, November 21, 2009, The Branson Tea Party Coalition will host a peaceful Constitutional Rally that will ring out “America First!” Join us at 11 a.m. for a one-hour roadside demonstration which will be held on the Highway 76 Strip in the area stretching from The Apple Tree Mall all the way to Fall Creek Road. You are encouraged to bring your signs with messages of your concerns regarding the outrageous and questionable actions of our elected leaders. (Note: keep the messages civil, sincere, and appropriate for public viewing.)
The roadside demonstration will be followed by a Speakers’ Forum/Tea Party Rally from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Join us for this inspiring event at AREA 57 next to the wee wee Clark American Bandstand Theatre, located at 1600 W. Hwy 76. Branson, MO.
Here is a rundown of our speakers:
- Dr. Randy Sukman, a local doctor who will discuss the dangers of the pending health care reform bills;
- Dimitri Tsahiridis , a local citizen who immigrated to the US from a socialist European country and who can speak first hand about socialism and the poor healthcare available in the country of his birth,
- Ted Scheets, a 97 year old former business owner who will discuss his concerns with the move away from traditional values and the lack of financial responsibility in Washington;
- Vincent David Jericho, a radio talk show host from Springfield, who will discuss the proposed "fairness doctrine" and the assault by Washington on Fox News and the media to "toe the line" in its press coverage;
- former Marine Sgt. Paul Curtman from St. Louis who will talk about federalism and what powers were and were not provided in the Constitution to the federal government versus which ones were reserved to the States,
- Darin Chappell, an instructor at Missouri State University who will discuss the freedoms which are under attack by pending legislation and actions of the executive branch in Washington;
- Judy Berkstressor, former State Representive, who will discuss the lack of financial responsibility in Washington and its failure to cut taxes on those who create jobs in its push to enact ever increasing wasteful spending measures; and
- Eric Farris, Director of the Branson Tea Party Coalition, will serve as the MC together with discussing the radicalism of the various czars who serve in the current administration
Remember, just because the house has passed two socialist bills, doesn't mean the fight is over.
“The cause goes on. Don’t get cynical because look at yourselves and what you were willing to do, and recognize that there are millions and millions of Americans out there that want what you want, that want it to be that way, that want it to be a shining city on a hill.” - Ronald Reagan to his staff after his defeat in 1976.
